Description : Accounts Assistant (Remote working). Company : Savannah Outsourced Finance. Location : Remote in Cape Town, Western Cape

We are currently looking to hire an ambitious and enthusiastic Accounts Assistant to support our team and grow within our fast paced and exciting company. This person will be willing to take on responsibility of owning the transactional processing and assisting with the monthly management account preparation of a portfolio of clients.

The role would be ideal for someone with basic accounting knowledge and at least three years experience working in a similar accounts assistant/clerk role.

As we look to use automation tools where possible someone comfortable using apps and other types of technology would be useful.

Also, prior experience of Xero accounting software would be beneficial.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

· Preferably at least 3 years’ experience working in an Accounts Assistant or similar role.

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, economics, finance, or a related field an advantage

· Xero experience an advantage

· Intermediate Excel skills

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Reconcile bank accounts

· Processing supplier invoices and reconciling supplier statements

· Prepare monthly management accounting reports

· Posting prepayment/accrual journals

· Assist with VAT returns

· Other ad hoc tasks and reporting as may be requested

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: R16,000.00 - R20,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Cape Town, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
